Welcome to our fantastic new website! We hope you like it.

We felt like it was time for a change – Hunters celebrates its 30th birthday this year, so it seemed like it was a good time for a makeover. The eagle-eyed customer amongst you will have noticed how the branding on our own brand products, such as the jams, pates, chutneys and biscuits, has changed over the last couple of years. We wanted the brand to follow through to our presence online…and so here we are!

The look of the website isn’t the only thing to have changed. You’ll notice we’re now offering a lot more products for sale online, and hopefully it’s much easier for you to fill a basket with the things you need. It’s something we have wanted to do for a long time. We have shoppers from around the country (and sometimes even the world) – they might have come to Helmsley on holiday and tried one of our products which they loved and they’re desperate to get further supplies! We are always more than happy to oblige if someone gets in touch via email, social media or phone, and kept thinking we should add more to the online shop, but as often happens, a lack of time got in the way. Anyone who has been in the shop will know how busy it can get!

So, what really gave us the push to get it done was Covid-19. Suddenly all our lives were turned upside down, and the products we provided to the local community were more vital than ever before. Although the shop has remained open throughout, we’ve also been offering free deliveries for those who were shielding at home or in self-isolation.

That’s worked brilliantly, but we realised how much easier it would be if even more products were already available online! Et Voila – our new website was born! (well of course, it wasn’t quite that simple, there was a lot of hard work and some very clever design work by agency ubd!) Now we can offer click and collect or delivery service for our local customers and can happily post items across the country to anyone who may be in need of a Hunters’ fix.

I don’t think any of us can be in any doubt that online sales and delivery services will continue to be vitally important over the coming months as we continue to protect the most vulnerable in society. Hopefully our new website can help make some orders a bit easier – but we’re still delighted to take orders by phone or email if there’s things which aren’t online that you’d like to order.
