Delivery Information

Packaging

All mail order gifts are packaged in strong protective outer boxes.

Delivery address information

Please ensure all addresses are accurate and include postal town and postal code, together with the recipient's telephone number. Inaccurate addresses will incur extra delivery charge to yourself and inevitable delay. We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect or incomplete. 


Should the recipient be out when our courier attempts delivery and no one is available to accept delivery, a card will be posted through the letterbox advising the recipient that a delivery as been attempted and inviting them to telephone our courier to arrange either:

- A collection from the nearest depot, which is available the working day after the card was left
- Re-delivery to the original address during normal working hours.

Any parcels not delivered or collected within five working days will be automatically returned to Hunters of Helmsley. A charge of £15 Inc. VAT is made for re-delivery to the original or alternative address. A charge will also be made for any items, which become unsuitable for sale and need replacing (perishable and chilled items like smoked foods, hams and cheeses which have short shelf lives).

At point of order the purchaser can leave 'if out' instructions to be attached to the goods e.g. If out please leave with neighbour. Hunters cannot be held responsible for damage or theft of goods where an 'if out' instruction has been issued by the purchaser.

If the hamper is being sent as a gift, we would advise that you call the recipient to let them know to expect a delivery. Some customers find it helpful to send hampers to the recipient's work address.

Our guarantee is limited to delivering to the building, not individual recipients.

Parcel tracking
Your UK mainland orders is scanned onto the courier's van from Hunters and can be tracked up to deliver at recipient's address. If you wish to track your parcel, please contact us for web site details, and the consignment number of your parcel.

Delivery schedule
48 hour delivery to most UK mainland destinations is included in the fixed £10(Inc. of VAT Monday to Thursday, unless otherwise stated. This price is for up to 25kg to one UK mainland address.

This does not apply to Scottish Highlands, which are on a three-day service. Outside of the UK mainland and for some destinations within UK mainland our couriers apply additional, variable charges.

If the delivery address provided is within the UK mainland, however falls outside of the UK mainland charges we will contact the sender before processing the order to advise of the additional payment and obtain permission before proceeding.

Outside the Christmas season, we recommend you place your order at least two working days prior to delivery. We always do our best to deliver your gift by your preferred date.

Please note - deliveries over the Christmas period is subject to different conditions, where the Christmas delivery schedule applies. 

We are unable to deliver to PO Box or BFPO addresses. 

Overseas deliveries - please contact us for delivery costs. We cannot guarantee deliveries outside UK mainland for a specific date.

Exclusions

We reserve the right to refuse any International orders on the basis of a particular country's customs and prohibitions which do vary from time to time.

Customs
Hunters cannot be held responsible should local customs authorities wish to confiscate any item contained within the hamper or charge any import duty. This is unfortunately outside of our control and as such, you, the customer, will be responsible for any such charges.


Orders placed on Thursday after 12 noon, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

DELIVERY TIMES
Courier deliveries are made between 8am and 6pm Monday to Fridays on UK working days. We cannot specify an actual time as the driver’s routes change daily.

COLLECTION
Gifts may be collected personally. Please contact us to book in a time for your collection.

CHRISTMAS 
To avoid disappointment, orders for guaranteed Christmas delivery should be placed with us no later than 15th December. If ordering after this date please contact us for availability and delivery times.

Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our on-line store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT where applicable

A delivery charge of £10 to is automatically added for the weekdays deliveries within mainland UK. Saturday deliveries and deliveries outside of mainland UK can be made but would be subject to a surcharge - please contact us on +44 (0)1439 771307

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

 

Please note from time to time we may need to substitute hamper and gift box items with items of equal or greater value. Hampers, which include alcoholic drinks may only be ordered by and delivered to customer’s aged 18 or over. This is because it is an offence under the Licensing Act 2003 to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol if you are under 18. You agree that you will provide us with truthful and accurate information to ensure this is complied with.
